VISITS
GCSE and A Level students are encouraged to access artworks first hand as much as possible outside of school. Local exhibition and courses are advertised on the Art notice board. However, there are a few standard visits made during the year:
September
London Galleries (combination of Tate Britain or Modern with National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery or Royal Academy)
Years 11, 12 and 13.
October
Local exhibition where relevant/Wolverhampton Museum and Art Gallery.
Year 10
June
Wolverhampton University School of Art & Design Degree Show
Year 12
Curated guide to collections at Wolverhamton Museum & Art Gallery.
Year 12
The annual 6th form Art exhibition is the opportunity to share student achievement in Fine Art during the AS and A2 level course. The Performing Arts Suite plays host to an evenings viewing by staff, parents, governors and friends who are only too keen to celebrate the success and achievement of the artists involved.
