Dear Parents, Following last year’s detailed analysis of the Voices of the Learners, Parents, Staff and Community Partners, much thought and careful discussion have been devoted over recent months to the consideration of the school’s vision and how that vision could and should be updated in order to take the school forward to its centenary year and beyond. The process involved both teaching and associate staff, governors, a wide range of learners, and also parents who were asked via the School Newsletter for their comments and thoughts. Our Head Girl played a key role in establishing the views of the learners through the use of a questionnaire which she devised and also picture card stimuli which prompted detailed discussion of students’ experiences and what they value most. The Deputy Head Girls also led discussions on the final wording of the document during a designated School Council meeting. All those involved have expressed the fact that they are happy with the outcome, and so I am pleased to present to you the latest vision statement for Wolverhampton Girls’ High School as expressed by the whole school community: Read the full Newsletter |
