Sixth Form  Admission Information

WGHS offers academic excellence, a stimulating working environment and a range of extra-curricular
activities.  However, what new students to the school have commented on most is the friendliness of students and staff, the warm family atmosphere.


WGHS is a specialist Language College and can offer A levels in French, German, Russian, Spanish and Latin.  However, this is by no means the full extent of the courses on offer which include Politics, Classical Civilisation and Further Mathematics to name just a few.  Click the below link for full details of all available courses.

The range of subjects offered is wide and is enhanced by our excellent consortium links with S Peter’s and St Edmund’s schools.  Our prospectus provides full details of courses offered.


Students in the Sixth Form play a major role in the running of the school.  Our Senior Prefects supervise Sixth Form teams who organise hospitality, citizenship and charity events.  The Sixth Form also provide peer mentoring and learning support sessions for younger students and organise many extra-curricular activities including House events.

Applications for places in Year 12 are welcomed and should reach us by Friday 10th February 2012.
