We follow OCR Specification C ( Bristol Project ) at GCSE. The Units of Study are:

Population and Settlement. Physical Systems and Environment. Economic Systems and Development. Natural Hazards and People. Sustainable Development.

The structure of assessment is as follows: Coursework 20% Decision Making Exercise. 30% Terminal Examination 50%

In Year 10 a 3 night residential fieldtrip is organised. This takes us to Broadhaven YHA in Pembrokeshire. Topics studied on this trip include: Industrial diversification in the South Wales coalfield, coastal processes and landforms, a study of a deciduous woodland ecosystem, impact of tourism on Tenby and an introduction to the management issues within a National Park.

In Year 11 a day is spent in the Berwyn mountains, on the Welsh borders looking at the legacy of glaciation upon the landscape.
