At School

Extra-curricular activities; House drama, music, dance, debating, hockey, netball, tennis and rounders; litter-duty; form and school events to raise money for charity; International day; being guides on open evening; being a form leader, charity representative, school council representative; helping out at the Gala; taking part in your form assembly; performing on Speech day, punch and carol concert, spring concert or recitals; Parents Guild junior quiz and all of the school trips and visits.

Magistrates Mock Trial Competition

A team of 12 students from Year 8 and Year 9 prepare the prosecution and defence of a specially prepared criminal case.  They compete live against other schools in Wolverhampton magistrates court on a Saturday morning in March.

National Youth Parliament Competition

A team of 11-18 year olds recreate parliment and make a 20 minute video.

National Political Journalism Competition

A number of teams prepare a T.V, radio or newspaper piece.

Youth Against Crime Group

The group will look at raising awareness of crimes relevant to our school community e.g. Mobile phone theft, safety on the streets etc.  Possible assemblieis or poster campaigns.

Environment Group

A group of 'activists' who meet to discuss environmental issues and ways of making the school community more aware.  Possible assembilies and raising points with the school council.

Disability Awareness Group

A group who meet to discuss disability issues and to raise awareness within the school.  Possible links with local special schools through our school nurse.

Trade Justice Group

As above.

At home
Responsibilities at home; babysitting; helping elderly neighbours; girl guides and other similar groups; local environmental projects, using bottle and paper banks.
