On Citizenship Days
During the first half term in school Year 7 have a whole morning of citizenship activities.

Charities Senior charity prefects will introduce the idea of a form charity event. You will have chance to look at what charity you would like to support and how you might go about raising some money.
Politics Sixth form politics students will lead this session.
Portfolio Mrs Stones will be introducing you to your own personal citizenship portfolio.
Gazebo The Gazebo Theatre Company will be leading this participatory workshop "Sorry no coloureds, no Irish, no dogs!" exploring the experiences of people who moved to the UK during the "Windrush era".
In March Year 8 have a whole day of citizenship activities.

Assessment and reporting As you can see there are many opportunities available to you for being a good citizen and most of them will not necessarily be in school. For this reason your citizenship assessment will involve your citizenship portfolio in which you will gather evidence of:-

There will be chance to reflect on your progress during the citizenship days and in tutor time. Your attainment will be reported on at the end of KS3.
