Girls usually take ten Key Stage 4 subjects at GCSE chosen in Year 9. They take a core of English, English Literature, mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry.  All are required to choose one humanity (from geography, history or religious studies) and one language from French, Russian, German, Latin, Japanese or Spanish currently at Key Stage 3.

There are also opportunities to opt for music, physical education, art and design and technology. The latter offer courses in food, resistant materials and graphic products. There is an options evening where year 9 parents are given details about the range of courses on offer. Girls are able to discuss their choices throughout the spring term following a careful advice and guidance programme.
