Page 3 of 5 Key Stage 5 The Sixth Form | In Years 12-13 (the Sixth Form) a range of AS and A2 subjects are offered. All girls in Year 12 take general studies and in Year 13 either continue to A2 or, if appropriate work towards the Extended Project Qualification. The PSHE programme focuses on preparation for UCAS application towards the end of year 12. In year 13 girls are usually able to have a practice interview with a professional in a relevant field as part of the preparation for their Higher Education application. | The Sixth Form programme also includes opportunities for PE, community service, and Engineering in Education. Sixth-form girls carry out a range of Prefect responsibilities and assist with school events. The senior prefect team meet regularly with senior staff and manage Sixth-form Council and School Council meetings. Sixth-formers manage projects which raise large sums of money for charity and help run club activities for girls in Years 7 - 11.
These opportunities all build on their teamwork and leadership skills. |
