Departmental Activities Pupils work independently at this stage and use ICT as a tool for preparing for post school experience: CV's, progress files and UCAS entrance. They have the opportunity to follow a GCE course in Applied ICT, which again uses an e-portfolio. The course is in addition to their main subject areas and is an independent learning exercise, which is monitored on a tutorial basis. Pupils also have the opportunity to follow a more traditional GCE course at neighbouring St Peter's Collegiate School, which is one of our consortium schools. The sixth form have access to their own cluster of computers in their workroom adjacent to the sixth form common room. We have a growing bank of laptops, which are available to sixth formers to borrow on short-term loan to enable them to complete assignments at home. |
