GCSE Results 2017

Wolverhampton Girls’ High School is celebrating a brilliant set of GCSE results, in the first year of the new style examinations.  A remarkable 81% of entries were awarded A/A*/7/8/9.  A staggering 77% of students achieved 8 or more A/A*/7/8/9 grades.

It is always difficult to single out individual students but special mention should be made of the following girls who achieved A*/8/9 in all of their subjects:

Hansini Abeysekera

Jessica Aquino

Ezme Hollick

Amy Kilmister

Amy Pullan

Emily Rowe

Rajvinder Sunner

Abigail Yates

Trudi Young, Headteacher at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School said: “In this first year of the new style examinations it is wonderful to see the girls achieving so highly.  I am incredibly proud of the way in which the students have worked hard and given their personal best.  They should each be congratulated for achieving such fantastic results.  They are testament to the commitment and dedication shown by the girls and the incredible support that they receive from their families and the staff.  We wish all of our students the best of luck with the next stage of their education.”
