Year 7 2026 Entry Test Results

If your daughter has sat the recent 11+ Entrance Test for 2026 entry you will now have her test results letter.

Next year's qualifying score will not be known until National Offer Day on 2nd March 2026. We have provided the scores data from 2023 to 2025 to give you a guide here as to what has happened in previous years.

What happens next?

​

 No further information will come from WGHS until National Offer Day.

What if we live out of the area?

 

WGHS does not have a catchment area and we welcome applications from all areas. The first step is ensure that we are named as a preference on your home Local Authority choices form. Without this we will not be able to consider your application.

When can we see the school?

​

Open Events were held in October 2025 and the next opportunity to visit the school will be in April 2026. If your daughter is offered and accepts a place with us, we will invite parents to a Welcome Event in May and successful applicants will attend two days of Year 7 induction at WGHS on          2nd and 3rd July 2026.

What if my daughter is considering another grammar school?

If you are considering placing another grammar school on your preference list, please note that they will have their own Admissions Arrangements and eligibility criteria. Please check on their websites to familiarise yourself with their admissions policy.

What if we are applying late for the test?

​

Late applications are those where the parents of a candidate have not registered with the school by 4pm on 27th June 2025. All late candidates will be tested and we request that you contact us on admissions@wghs.org.uk

 

​Please note that if you are considering any of the other West Midlands Partnership Schools for your daughter, you must carefully read their admission arrangements to understand if they will accept a late application. All of the schools within the partnership operate their own admission arrangements. Being accepted to sit a late test at WGHS does not automatically mean that a late test result will be considered by any other school.
