IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If your daughter HAS been offered a place at our school
Many congratulations! You will receive an offer letter and Accept / Decline option by email within 48 hours. This should be completed and returned to the school as soon as possible, even if you are declining the place.
If your daughter HAS NOT been offered a place at our school:
• If your daughter’s test score is 202 to 206, and WGHS is listed on your Local Authority preferences form, she may be eligible for our waiting list and the school will confirm this within 14 days. We will email you to inform you of your daughter’s position on the waiting list at that time. The waiting list will remain active until 31st December 2025. After this time, your daughter will have the opportunity to reapply for an In Year Transfer place.
• If your daughter’s test score is below 202, we are sorry to say that she is not eligible for our waiting list for this year and your application will go no further. However, she will have the opportunity to reapply for an In Year Transfer place after 31st December 2025.
• If your daughter’s test score meets our cut off score but you have had no offer from us, this may be because:
When you first applied for the entrance test, you did not tick the box giving permission to share your daughter’s test scores with our school. We are happy to discuss this with you and you may need to contact your daughter’s test centre to give permissions.
Our school was not named on your Local Authority Preferences Form You may apply for a late preference change with your home Local Authority. This means that your daughter will have the opportunity to join our waiting list if her score meets this year’s waiting list cut off score as stated above.
You have been allocated a school that you listed at higher preference to our school on the Local Authority Preference Form. Please call us.
You applied late to the Local Authority with your school preferences and your daughter will not be considered for a place until after National Offer Day. Please call us.
If you would like to launch an Appeal, please visit the Admissions Appeal page on this website to find our school appeals form. This should be submitted to Wolverhampton City Council, not to the school.
