  • Open Events for Prospective Year 7 Students - September 2021

Dear girls and parents I am sorry to advise you that due to the current circumstances we have taken the decision to postpone our forthcoming open events that were scheduled to take place in May.  We hope to schedule new dates as soon as the national picture becomes clearer. For now, I would encourage you to register for our Entrance Test scheduled to take place on Monday 14th September 2020 by clicking here. During early July or sooner if we are able, your daughter will receive a letter from the school which will give her bespoke access to our familiarisation portal.  Whilst the portal cannot replace an actual open event, you will find information about the testing day, practice questions and also videos from myself, staff and students about the school.  This will give you a little bit more of an insight into life at our school. I look forward to meeting you in person at some point soon.  For now, best wishes to you and your family and stay safe. Mrs Young Headteacher

These results are testament to the commitment and dedication shown by the girls and the incredible support that they receive from their families and the staff. • A Level Results 2019

Congratulations to Wolverhampton Girls’ High School’s Year 13 cohort, whose hardwork and commitment has secured some outstanding personal A Level results. Their resilience, commitment, hardwork and dedication has paid off and the school is very proud of their individual achievements.  It is always difficult to single out students but special congratulations go to Abena Adu-Boateng and Sian Uppal who achieved an A* in each of their A Level subjects along with Anya Burakowski and Abigail Yates who each secured 3A* grades amongst their results.  Twenty four students secured a fantastic 3 or more A/A* grades.  Our students will now go on to study a range of degree courses including Medicine, Law and Veterinary, at leading universities including Oxford and Cambridge. As well as dealing with the demands of the workload of the two year linear A Levels, our students have played a full and active part in school life, contributing to and leading our House system and fully embracing the wide ranging enrichment opportunities on offer here at Girls’ High. Headteacher, Mrs Trudi Young expressed her pride in the students: “We are very proud of our girls’ accomplishments.  This has only been possible as a result of their personal dedication and determination. Our girls have grown as independent young women in so many ways over the last two years and seized every opportunity presented by school life.   I am so pleased that they now leave with such fantastic results, testament to their hardwork and commitment. I am also extremely appreciative of the support given to the students from both staff in school and families at home.  Our students leave with our very best wishes for the future.”
